Commercial Buildings and Mold

Be weary of what causes mold.

It may come as a surprise but mold can be severe enough to condemn entire buildings. This has been the case with many types of commercial building that can be susceptible to mold because of the nature of the service or capacity they provide, for example refrigerated or special warehouses and buildings that have moist air. Other issues that can cause large scale mold are things such as leaky pipes, flooding, organic materials, or faulty basement sealing. Although a majority of the time most buildings will notice and remediate mold before it becomes so severe that the building would have to be condemned but in certain cases the mold is not as noticeable and causes large scale damage before being serviced.  To prevent these types of issues be weary of the conditions that cause mold and where it can occur.
